Single Moms Find Support Through Home Sharing

No one ever said raising kids is easy, particularly for single moms. And today, with jobs more demanding for those who have one, harder to find for those who don’t, and extended family scattered, it’s becoming even more difficult and lonely for the single parent.

They may not need a village but just having someone else to share the load could make a huge difference. And now single moms are finding a way to get that support. They’re moving in together. And there’s a resource to help them do it.

Shared Housing for Boomer Women Rising – Think Golden Girls

Is your mom living alone? Is she worried about finances? Or perhaps looking for more community? You may want to tell her about a new housing concept for single baby boomer women.

Friday Is Veterans’ Day – Thank a Soldier

This Friday is Veteran’s Day. Let’s remember to thank a soldier.

“It’s the soldier, not the reporter, that gives you freedom of the press. It’s the soldier, not the poet, that gives you freedom of speech. It’s the soldier, not the campus organizer, that allows you to demonstrate. It’s the soldier who salutes the flag, serves the flag, whose coffin is draped with the flag, that allows the protester to burn the flag.
