Fortunately, in addition to EBay and Craig’s List, there are many sites, including The Knot, now selling used wedding gowns. And most brides who chose to wear a pre-owned wedding gown were happy with their decision.

More women are proposing and men are liking it. In fact, about 37 percent of women are open to proposing to the man and more men than women are accepting this shift in responsibility according to a survey by Steve Elliott Marketing.

Wedding Gown Give-Away for Military Brides

Next month, in honor of Veterans’ Day, Brides Across America will be sponsoring a give-away of more than 6000 wedding gowns to military brides across the U.S.
Each participating salon (see list at end of post) will be giving away, on a first-come, first-served basis, gowns that range in value from $500 to $4000, and 4 to 22 in size. Gowns are samples from top designers, overstocks, new, and once worn. Number available will vary by store.
